Acabó de leer un articulo en el portal Mac francés MacGeneration según el cual Robert Raia, Director de Marketing de Adobe para Europa, en el Adobe Live, confirmo el fin de Freehand y Golive, por lo que quedarían para el CS3 Illustrator y Dreamweaver. Los que siguen el tema se acordarán que hace poco tiempo, Adobe había publicado una guía de conversión de archivos Freehand a Illustrator.

YA QUE ILLUSTRATOR NO LO REEMPLAZA TOTALMENTE
SI MUERE, SALDRA COMPETENCIA A ADOBE EN EL CAMINO, YA QUE ILLUSTRATOR ES DEFICIENTE EN RAPIDEZ Y POCO PRACTICO PARA EMPRESAS DE ALTO RENDIMIENTO Y QUE NO NECESITAN DE TANTOS EFECTOS ESPECIALES, PERO SI DE UNA GRAN CLARIDAD, RAPIDEZ DE MANEJO Y SENCILLEZ
EN DEFINITIVA ILLUSTRATOR NO CUBRE TODAS LAS NECESIDADES DE LOS USUARIOS
Estimado Serge. Te felicito que rechaces las interfases como golive.
Supongo que para diseñar lo haces directamente en postscript y no usas ni win ni osx, total es más cómodo trabajar directo en código…
Golive será un vencido que vas a reconocer en la nueva versión de DreamLive

Q. What will happen to MenuMachine in the future? I heard that Adobe is ceasing GoLive development, will you be making a Dreamweaver version of MenuMachine?
A. Firstly, GoLive is not going away. Adobe has officially committed to the continued development of the product. While we cannot be specific, we are very confident that GoLive is not being «scrapped» and any rumors to the contrary are definitely not true.
However, we intend to ensure that our customers have a solution to meet their needs and we intend to evolve with the marketplace. We do recognize that many users are interested in a version of MenuMachine for Dreamweaver (and other HTML editors) and we are examining the
options for supporting Dreamweaver customers in future.
In the short term we will not be producing a Dreamweaver version of MenuMachine 2, since MenuMachine 2 is written to the GoLive APIs and cannot be easily ported to Dreamweaver.
We cannot comment on future products at this stage but rest assured that we intend for MenuMachine to continue to be the best way to make drop-down menus for your web sites.

He trabajado en Golive e Illustrator y la verdad que estos dos programas, ademas de ser faciles de usar, estan mas vigentes que nunca….
…y en el fondo en el fondo…
…es la misma sopa no más… Moverse de uno a otro no es difícil, sólo un poco incómodo al principio.
Le podríamos pedir a Humberto que use más powerPoint 😉
